South Portugal. Sand, pines, light that arrives low and stays long.

Pinheirinho Comporta sits within 400 hectares of pine forest, dunes, and Atlantic coastline , one of the last estates of its scale on the Alentejo coast. The architecture does not impose itself on this place, it reads it.

Wood echoes the pines. The palette follows. Large glass panels dissolve the line between inside and out. Long eaves extend the ground floor into the landscape.Light is the material that changes.

We let the frame settle. The landscape sits in it, and whoever arrives completes it. There is no rush in these images. The landscape waits quietly in the frame, for someone to arrive and make the picture whole.
